Surekha Radhakrishnan Pillai is a multifaceted professional with over two decades of experience across financial markets, financial technology, spiritual tourism, and cultural research. She holds a Master’s in Financial Services (MFSM) and began her career in financial markets, specialising in debt securities and corporate finance. During her tenure at Pioneer Intermediaries, she gained experience in fixed-income investments, client relationships, and market operations, and was recognised with the Best Employee Award. She later transitioned into financial technology, working closely with market participants and software development teams to develop practical front-office solutions.
Currently, Surekha serves as a Director at Atmadarshan Pvt. Ltd., promoting India’s spiritual and cultural heritage through curated yatras and cultural experiences. She is also pursuing a PhD at the University of Mumbai, researching the role of tourism in understanding the philosophical, historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of ancient temples in and around Mumbai. A practitioner and teacher of Bharatanatyam, she is deeply interested in art, storytelling, culture, and knowledge. Her multidisciplinary journey brings together finance, technology, spirituality, tourism, academic research, and the performing arts, with a focus on creating meaningful connections with India’s rich cultural heritage.
