The Orange City Literature Festival successfully organized a Mandala Art Workshop on 30 May 2026. The workshop was conducted by artist Ms. Rasika Durge and received an enthusiastic response from participants of different age groups.
The session began with an introduction to Mandala Art and its history. Ms.Rasika Durge explained how mandalas have been used for centuries in different cultures as a symbol of balance, unity, and creativity. Participants learned about the meaning and importance of this unique art form.
After the introduction, participants were guided through the basic concepts of Mandala Art. They learned how simple shapes, patterns, and symmetrical designs come together to create beautiful mandala artworks. The artist demonstrated each step and shared easy techniques that beginners could follow.
The workshop also included a hands-on activity where participants created their own mandala designs. Throughout the session, they explored their creativity while improving their focus and attention to detail.
Apart from learning a new art form, participants discovered how drawing mandalas can be a relaxing and calming experience. The activity encouraged mindfulness, patience, and self-expression.
The workshop was both educational and enjoyable, leaving participants inspired to continue exploring the world of Mandala Art.

The Handwriting Workshop by Prof. Deepak Kulkarni was successfully organised under the Orange City Literature Festival (OCLF) on Saturday, 16 May 2026 at Riaan Tower, Sadar, Nagpur.
The workshop received an enthusiastic response with 40 registrations from participants across different age groups. The session focused on improving handwriting skills through practical techniques and expert guidance.
Participants learned handwriting basics and writing improvement methods in English, Hindi, and Marathi. The workshop covered letter formation, neatness, spacing, and presentation skills, making it an engaging and informative learning experience.
A handwriting test was also conducted after the workshop to assess the participants’ learning. The Best Writing Award was presented by the guest to selected participants for their outstanding performance.
All basic workshop materials, including pens and notebooks, were provided at the venue. The event concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants and parents.
A beautiful celebration of creativity, bonding, and togetherness, the Fabric Painting Workshop brought mothers and children together to create memories beyond art. In today’s busy schedules, the workshop offered a special opportunity to pause, connect, and create something meaningful that will remain a cherished memory for a lifetime.
Participants enjoyed painting personalised fabric tote bags and spending quality time together under the guidance of artist Akanksha Gupta.
