Ms. Vijayluxmi Bose taught at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, India for 11 years. A health communication specialist by profession, she has published in peer reviewed journals (most recently as a co-author in the BMJ) and also of a publication titled ‘Community Perspectives in Health, Education and Livelihoods in Talla Ramgarh, Uttarakhand for the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, New Delhi Branch. Vijayluxmi started writing short stories based on anecdotes from her Facebook page. Many of her tales are based on her forays in Bhauwala –a village in the Doon valley adjacent to a forest; reminiscences from her childhood in the Dooars in North West Bengal and her experiences of growing up in Calcutta/Kolkata. Her fascination with the unexpected appears in some of her narratives. She has reviewed almost all of Anjana Basu’s tiger and leopard series for Statesman and online for Reading Addicts. Ritu is an electrical engineer by qualification, but a writer and poet at heart. She was born and brought up in Odisha. She has lived in different cities in India working for IT companies as a technical and content writer. She has been living in Mumbai for 8 years now, and intends to stay here forever. Sandeep Agrawal cleared his Chartered Accountancy in the year 1984, and is engaged in business since then. He is a singer and writer, and regularly contributes articles and poems to The Hitavada and other publications. He practices Yoga regularly, and is also a certified Acupressure Therapist, providing his services on an honorary basis to many patients at the PKAT Acupressure center. Soni Wadhwa is Assistant Professor in the Department of English at SRM University, Andhra Pradesh (India). She was Joint Director (Research) at Maritime History Society, a think tank in Mumbai researching maritime history in interdisciplinary facets and run by Western Naval Command, Indian Navy. She has taught courses in literature studies, advertising, and the mass media in Mumbai. Her industry experience covers work with different Indian brands across industries on their digital marketing strategy. Her academic research and publications include philosophy of language, city writing, South Asian Studies, and translation. Her public writing has appeared in national and international publications including Asian Review of Books, South China Morning Post, Scroll, and Deccan Herald.
Rashmi Menon has been a part of the Indian publishing industry for more than a decade. She is currently the managing editor at Amaryllis: An Imprint of Manjul Publishing House. She has worked with several bestselling writers and has edited a variety of books over the years: from commercial and literary fiction, to a variety of non-fiction such as foreign affairs, memoirs, and self-help. In 2018, she was chosen by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to represent India on their Visitors Programme, which focuses on information exchange, and the creation of networks between international publishers. She enjoys helping new authors develop a book idea to really make it their own, and gets a kick from seeing her projects realised in print.
