About SGRKF

What started out to be a modest knowledge series is now a much-awaited literary festival of the nation. The Orange City Literature Festival (OCLF) is a testament to the potency of ideas, of storytelling, of the exercise of the intellect. It was conceived of and envisioned by the SGR Knowledge Foundation (SGRKF) with the vision of taking literature and knowledge to the people at large, going beyond academic circles.

Established in 2008 according to Section 8 of the Companies Act of 1956, the SGR Knowledge Foundation is a social outreach of the Raisoni Group of Institutions (RGI). Following the philosophy of sustainable development, the SGRKF made a strong effort toward the propagation of education, environmental awareness, healthcare, and the well-being of society. Wherever its efforts overlap with greater social causes like the empowerment of women, healthcare, and conservation of the environment, perhaps the most notable of its efforts is the transformation of a small knowledge-sharing activity into a complete literary and cultural movement.

SGRKF

SGRKF envisioned the OCLF not just as a festival, but also as a forum to democratize knowledge so that learning and literature are welcomed by all sections of society. From a series of scholarly debates and literary interactions, the movement is now a vibrant annual conclave of authors, poets, academicians, artists, and readers congregating to discuss, celebrate, and deliberate upon literature.

Through its strong commitment, SGRKF shaped OCLF into a platform that fuels creativity, enables intellectual enrichment, and engages meaningful discourses about culture, literature, and contemporary affairs. The organization is still at the forefront of propelling the festival to greater heights year by year, turning the festival into a well of creativity, inquiry, and literary excellence. From a modest knowledge series, the movement is now a burgeoning initiative that continues to enrich minds, spark creativity, and bridge knowledge gaps in society.
