Let your imagination take the lead and bring your own book cover to life! The Orange City Literature Festival (OCLF) invites young creative minds to participate in the OCLF Drawing Competition 2026. Participants are encouraged to interpret the theme through their own imagination and create an original book cover that reflects creativity, storytelling, and artistic expression. Showcase your talent, turn your ideas into illustrations, and let your drawing tell a story of its own.

Age Categories & Prizes

    Age Group: 5 – 8 Years

  • 1st Prize: ₹5,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹3,000
  • 3rd Prize: ₹2,000

    Age Group: 9 – 12 Years

  • 1st Prize: ₹5,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹3,000
  • 3rd Prize: ₹2,000

    Age Group: 13 – 15 Years

  • 1st Prize: ₹5,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹3,000
  • 3rd Prize: ₹2,000

Allowed Mediums & Tools

Participants can use:

  • Pencils
  • Colour pencils
  • Crayons
  • Oil pastels
  • Sketch pens
  • Watercolours
  • Poster colours
  • Other drawing and colouring materials permitted by the organisers

Certificates & Recognition

  • Participation certificates will be awarded to all participants.
  • Winning entries will receive cash prizes and recognition.
  • Selected drawings will be displayed at the Orange City Literature Festival.

Drawing Guidelines

  • Participants must create an original artwork based on the theme specified by OCLF.
  • Entries may be submitted in the format specified in the official competition guidelines.
  • Participants must provide their name, age, city of residence, and contact details as required.
  • Participants are responsible for bringing their own colours and other required art materials unless otherwise specified by the organisers.
  • Artwork must not contain any vulgar, obscene, defamatory, pornographic, violent, or content detrimental to the national interest.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
  • By participating, entrants grant OCLF the right to feature their artwork on its website, social media platforms, and promotional material related to the competition and festival. OCLF's existing competition terms include such usage rights.
  • Additional rules, age categories, submission process, and competition timelines will be communicated through the official OCLF 2026 announcement.

Terms & Conditions

  • Each participant is eligible to submit one entry only.
  • Selected participants will be informed through email or other official communication channels.
  • Entries must be original and must not contain any vulgar, obscene, defamatory, pornographic, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content, or any content detrimental to the national interest.
  • Any form of copying, tracing, or unauthorised assistance may lead to disqualification.
  • The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
  • By participating in the competition, participants agree that the organisers may make necessary adjustments or modifications to selected entries, where required, for exhibition or promotional purposes.
  • By submitting an entry, participants grant the Orange City Literature Festival the right to feature, reproduce, publish, or display their drawing on its official websites, social media platforms, promotional materials, and other festival-related communication channels.
  • Participation in the competition implies acceptance of all the rules, guidelines, and terms and conditions specified by the Orange City Literature Festival.
