Sumaira Abidi is an author, financial storyteller, and independent content creator whose work sits at the intersection of money, women, and everyday life. Her debut book, The Indian Woman's Essential Guide to Investing and Building Wealth, draws on her experience of making complex financial ideas simple, relatable, and actionable, particularly for women.
A former financial journalist and anchor with CNBC-TV18, she spent over a decade covering markets, mutual funds, and personal finance, and was widely recognised for her long-running show MF Corner. Earlier, she worked with TV Today, NewsX, and Times Now.
She was named among AIWMI's Top 100 Women in Finance in 2020 for her contribution to investor education and now leads investor communication and engagement at SBI Mutual Fund as Vice President. She holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication from AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia.
