Sumaira Abidi is an author, financial storyteller and independent content creator whose work sits at the intersection of money, women, and everyday life. Her debut book, The Indian Woman’s Essential Guide to Investing & Building Wealth, draws on her experience of making complex financial ideas simple, relatable and actionable, particularly for women. A former financial journalist and anchor with CNBC-TV18, she spent over a decade covering markets, mutual funds and personal finance, and was widely recognised for her long-running show MF Corner. She was named among AIWMI’s Top 100 Women in Finance in 2020 for her contribution to investor education. She later worked with SBI Mutual Fund in investor communication and engagement, and has previously worked with TV Today, Times Now and NewsX. She holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia.
