A graduate of I.N.I.F.D., L.A.D. Deeply involved in the preservation and promotion of indigenous craftsmanship, Shruti collaborates closely with the Textile Ministry of India on cluster and craft development programs. Her notable initiatives, including Reinvent Benares and Textile India, have played a vital role in rejuvenating the handloom sector of Maharashtra and empowering local artisan communities.
Adding another milestone to her illustrious journey, Shruti Sancheti has authored a coffee table book titled “Threaded Tales of Vidarbha”, a heartfelt tribute to the textile legacy of the Vidarbha region. The book, launched under the aegis of FDCI, is an initiative by the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and designer Shruti Sancheti. The launch event was graced by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. M. Beena, IAS, Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, as the Guest of Honour.
