Sanjana Kapur is an author and editor with over 15 years of experience in children's publishing. Over the course of her career, she has written several books for young readers, including the award-winning Who Stole Bhaiya's Smile? (Pratham Books), which sensitively explores the lingering effects of depression through a child's perspective.
Her book Mum in a Mess (Duckbill Books) tells the story of a young girl supporting her mother through difficult times, and was featured on the 2025 Parag Honour List in recognition of its meaningful storytelling. Beyond her published works, Sanjana has also written content for websites, animation films, podcasts, and quiz shows, and has hosted events for children across schools in India.
When not writing, she can be found making futile attempts to understand the world — a pursuit she approaches with the same curiosity and humour that defines her writing.
