Development, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, and served as a visiting professor at IIT Kanpur. His work spans critical challenges to sustainable development in India, with the focus on ecological restoration, climate resilience and community participation.
A Post-doctoral Endeavour Fellow of the Government of Australia, and author of ten books, research papers, monographs, and articles, Gurudas has been honoured with the Maharashtra State Literature award and Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad awards for his books. Gurudas serves on the boards of Ecological Society, and ACWADAM, and is a Senior Fellow of Pune International Centre where he continues to influence public understanding and policy discourse on sustainable development.
