Chirag Thakkar is a senior publishing professional with close to a decade's experience in publishing. He's currently Commissioning Editor at Penguin Random House India and has previously championed and platformed books with Roli Books and Oxford University Press. Chirag has published a wide range of authors such as Gulzar sahab, Taslima Nasrin, Anand Teltumbde, Aruna Roy, Saba Naqvi, Tarun Tahiliani, Kobad Ghandhy, Jairam Ramesh, Martha Nussbaum, Zoya Hasan, Romila Thapar, Lakshmi Subramanian, among others. His interests are commercial non-fiction and fiction as well as literary fiction and translations. He has hosted and produced a literary podcast ‘Beyond the Lines’ and taught workshops in writing and publishing. His writing has appeared in Scroll, Hindustan Times, Kashmir Reader and The Quint.
