Dr Gunjan Y. Trivedi is a psychotherapist, researcher and Director of Wellness Space, Ahmedabad. His work explores how childhood experiences shape emotional well-being, mental health and relationships, and how a deeper understanding of these experiences can support recovery and resilience.
He is the co-author of What Happened to Me? vs What’s Wrong with Me?: Indian Perspectives on Childhood Trauma and Recovery, published by Ebury Press, Penguin Random House India, alongside Dr Riri G. Trivedi and Hemalatha Ramani. The book brings together psychological research, neuroscience and Indian knowledge systems to examine the lasting influence of childhood trauma and the pathways through which people can move towards recovery.
Drawing on years of therapeutic work and research into adverse childhood experiences, complex trauma and mental health in India, Gunjan works to make psychological knowledge more accessible and relevant to everyday life. His work encourages readers to look beyond symptoms and behaviours to understand the experiences that shape them, opening up new ways of thinking about emotional resilience, healing and human well-being.
