Chandrachur Ghose is an author, columnist and public speaker on history, politics, economics,
and environment. He graduated from Visva Bharati (Santiniketan) and the University of
Sussex.
Ghose has co-authored Conundrum: Subhas Bose’s Life After Death (2019, Vitasta Publishing)
and Government Doesn’t Want You To Know This (2021, Vitasta Publishing), written the
definitive biography of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bose: The Untold Story of an
Inconvenient Nationalist (2022, Penguin Random House) and 1947-57, India: The Birth of a
Republic (2023, Penguin Random House). His latest book The Bose Deception (Penguin Random
House) is now available across all bookstores. All his books have featured among national
bestsellers in Amazon India.
Ghose is one of the founders of the pressure group Mission Netaji that has been the moving
force behind the declassification of secret documents related to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
His activism led to the declassification of over ten thousand pages in 2010 and subsequent
rounds of declassification from 2016.
