Amborish Roychoudhury is a writer, biographer and film historian. His first book “In a Cult of their Own: Bollywood Beyond Box Office” won a Special Mention at the 66th National Film Awards, 2019. He has written two more books, including one on Sridevi’s south years, and an authorized biography of legendary filmmaker Raj Khosla which came out earlier this year. He has served on several film festival juries and his work has appeared in Hindustan Times, Outlook magazine, Frontline and Huffington Post, among others.

The session "Celebrating Om Puri at 75: Stories That Stay, Songs That Heal" brought together Nandita Puri, Amit Behl, Amborish Roychoudhury and Sharon Prabhakar for a heartfelt tribute moderated by Sharon Prabhakar.
