Subramanian Giridhar is one of the earliest members of Azim Premji Foundation. He
was also the first Registrar and Chief Operating Officer of Azim Premji
University. He has been writing passionately and regularly on public
education, organization culture and cricket. Apart from his much-loved book,
‘Ordinary People, Extraordinary Teachers: The Heroes of Real India’ (which has
been translated into Hindi and Kannada) he has also co-authored three
delightful books on cricket with V J Raghunath, namely, ‘Mid-wicket Tales:
From Trumper to Tendulkar’, ‘From Mumbai to Durban: India’s Greatest Tests’
and ‘Mid-Wicket Tales: A Century and More of Cricket’.
