A surgeon by profession, a writer-teacher by heart, and a seeker in spirit, she has written fiction under the pseudonym Piorre Hart. Perennially stumbling onto realms of infinite possibilities; she is on the bumpy journey to self-discovery, with all its waves and ebbs. She thrives on connections; on chai; as on philosophising the universe while universalising philosophy. She has been writing since she was eight; dabbling in various forms of the craft: both, words and verses. Her poems and short stories have found their place in various magazines and anthologies. Her novels “Where There’s A Will… ”, “Dial T for Terror” and “A Genre called Hope” have received rave reviews. Between writing prescriptions on one hand to stories on the other, she is now exploring the poetry of inner silence... the wordlessness beyond the words.

The Thera Poetic Way | Poetry Workshop with Dr Puja Bang | OCLF

On 23rd Nov 2025 9.30AM To 10.40 AM

This interactive OCLF workshop led by Dr Puja Bang explored how poetry can become a pathway to healing, clarity, and inner expression. Titled The Thera Poetic Way, the session invited participants to experience poetry not only as an art form but as a reflective practice that nurtures emotional balance and mindful living.

Dr Bang, a surgeon, teacher, author, and poet, guided the audience through simple techniques that helped them translate thoughts and feelings into verse. She shared insights on metaphor, imagery, free expression, and the role of poetry in processing emotions with honesty and openness. Through guided prompts and writing exercises, participants discovered how everyday experiences can unfold into meaningful, therapeutic lines of poetry.

The workshop encouraged both beginners and seasoned writers to trust their voice, embrace vulnerability, and use poetry as a tool for introspection and growth. It was an inspiring reminder that healing can begin with a single line and that poetry belongs to everyone willing to express their inner world.
