An Urdu poet and author, Swati Sani started her career as an advertising professional and later became an entrepreneur. She is passionate about the Urdu language and literature and endeavors to make Urdu poetry available to those who love Urdu poetry but struggle with nuances of the language.
Her published works include a book series titled "Famous Urdu Poets," This series has eight books titled Mirza Ghalib, Mir Taqi Mir, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Seemab Akbarabadi, Firaq Gorakhpuri, Sahir Ludhianvi, Meeraji, and Parveen Shakir. Each book introduces the poet and his writing style and includes the poet's popular couplets translated into English with the original in Urdu, Devanagari, and Roman script. They also have chapters on Urdu poetry A timeline, Urdu Poetry and Literary Movements, and Forms and Structure of Urdu poetry.
The books were initially published as ebooks on the Amazon Kindle store in 2020 and were very popular. They are now being published as paperbacks and will be available on Amazon stores. The first one, Ghalib, is already available.
A postgraduate in Advertising and Public Relations from the Indian Institute of Mass Communications, New Delhi, Swati has also completed her Master's degree in Urdu Literature. A person with many talents, She decided to switch to being an author after running a software company for 22 years, which was her second career after being an advertising professional for 10 years.
She also documents the recipes of the food she cooks, some of which are published in the book titled "Zayka,"
