Rituparna Ghosh on Let's Talks about changing facets of romance In Conversation with RJ Nisha

On 27th Nov 10.00 am - 10.40 am

“Engineers are Zen kind who does not keep attachment to anything. They can go with anything. In early 22 you don’t get that serious about life, but in 30 with experience, you need to make conformed choices. My thought was to write about people who don’t have many choices or go through a tough decision-making process. For me, characters are most important, and other things like stories are secondary. The theme for the book was taken from surrounding what I see or want to do. I love the guitar, so there comes “A boy with Guitar”. My first book was a childish attempt to write something, and when it was rejected, I went to learn How to write a novel. The first book draft is always a bad one. We have to make many important changes to get a proper readable book form. We wrote consistently to bring perfection. Of course, the first draft will never be perfect. New writers must keep practicing. Women are more cautious than men. They look as if he is better for them. Relation or romance concept has changed, and women have become choosier. Many people are not very open to reading stuff today, and it will take some time.”
