Anvita Sudarshan wears many hats and has been all over the place. She is an Indian author, actor, filmmaker, a producer who spent her early days of life in pageantry and modeling. She has participated in several beauty pageants and owns several titles. She won the Miss India Kuwait in 2011 and was the first runner-up of Miss India Worldwide 2012. She was also a finalist in I Am She: Miss India Universe 2011 and Femina Miss India South 2010. Along with a multi-talent crown, she judged the Miss India New York 2013 and Miss India USA 2013.
She is the author of the bestseller Beauty Queen - The Pathway to pageantry. It is a one-stop sourcebook on everything you ever wanted to know about pageantry – its meaning, history, inner mechanics, organization, and required preparedness. Unveiling the author's personal experiences, the book is the first of its kind and a unique attempt to present pageantry as a composition of science, art, and grace in equal proportions. With her engrossing modeling skills, she is a leading name in the Mumbai fashion industry. She hopes to build an institutional framework for pageantry in India, especially for the aspirants to pursue a systematic path.
Among her many endeavors in the film industry is her direction for the short film Sadak Chhap which premiered at the Short Film Corner of Cannes Film Festival 2015. She appeared in the Web series Asur in 2020. She has worked as a creative producer at Green TV India. She has framed several documentaries on rural communities for the Khadi and Village Industries Commission of the Government of India.
She secured a full scholarship to study in the UK and at 14 she co-founded and served as Junior Editor for Geo Junior, published by Gateway Media. She holds a Master's degree in Film Making from New York Film Academy and is one of the founders of Silverfish Books.
