Ambi M G Parameswaran is a marketing- branding-advertising veteran with over four decades of experience. He is now an independent brand coach and founder Brand-Building.com, a brand advisory. Ambi played a vital role in the transformation of FCB Ulka Advertising into a top five marketing communication group. He served the agency for over 25 years and was the ED & CEO from 2003 – 2013. He has served as the President of industry bodies and has been a TEDx and keynote speaker at numerous industry events.

Ambi is a best-selling author of 12 books and his books cover a range of topic including advertising, branding, consumer behaviour, leadership and religiosity. His book ‘Nawabs Nudes Noodles – India Through 50 Years of Advertising’ was a Crossword Popular Book Awards 2017 finalist. His book, ‘Spring-Bouncing Back From Rejection’ was a finalist at Tata Lit Live Business Book of The Year Award 2021. His latest book, launched in May 2025, ‘Marketing Mixology’, looks at four critical skills for marketing success.

Ambi’s columns appear regularly in leading business publications, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at SPJIMR Mumbai, he served on the Board of Governors of IIM Calcutta from 2007-17, is an Independent Director on corporate boards, a mentor to a few exciting startups and conducts brand /CXO coaching sessions. He is a Distinguished Alumnus Awardee from both IIT Madras and IIM Calcutta. He also has a PhD from Mumbai University, has done his AMP from Harvard Business School and CEO Coaching Certification from Coaching Foundation of India.
