Story Telling session and Tips for 5th 6th and 7th grade students

On 28th Nov - 10.00 a.m. - 11.40 am

Jyothi Kunjoor is an excellent story teller and lends her own animation and style to the story which makes it sound completely real. Here she is providing training to students of grade 5 6 and 7 on how to tell a story with a punch. Whether it is a story telling competition or you are simply narrating the story to your family and friends, there are a few things to keep in mind. First rule of thumb is to never learn the story by heart. Instead you should memorize the story in sequence and learn the different things that happened in a chronological order.

The way that Jyothi has lent sound and facial expression animation takes a lot of practice. She suggests to practice in front of the mirror first and check if you are getting the right expressions and gestures. The next step is to narrate the story in front of your friends or family and take their honest opinion. This will prepare you for narrating the story to an audience
